Ralph oversees the Design function at Lottie.
Founded in London in July 2021, Lottie is a fast growth HealthTech start-up aiming to build the world’s first SaaS enabled marketplace for care and with a goal of allowing families to seamlessly book care online in a similar manner to reserving a holiday stay via Airbnb or Expedia.
Since launching in July 2021, Lottie has supported millions of care seekers find the right care for loved ones and has raised over £25m from leading venture capital funds including Accel, General Catalyst and Kindred, as well as from well known technology entrepreneurs including Mike Hudack (ex-CPTO of Deliveroo & Monzo) and Tom Blomfield (ex-CEO of Monzo Bank). More recently, Lottie was the acclaimed winner of LinkedIn and Startup.co.uk Top Startup awards.
As Senior Designer, his role is to elevate the brand. He has built new guidelines and applied them across Lottie’s products - creating much-needed consistency in a rapidly growing company. He’s also led a viral PR campaign that gained global momentum, run workshops, helped develop a new paid social process, and built an illustration library from scratch.

👨💻 Acting as sole designer I work collaboratively across all departments, including Executive Team, Commercial, Marketing, Customer Care and Product & Engineering.
🎯 Recently helped unify Lottie’s 3 core products, aligning the look and feel with brand consistency at the heart of it all. The outcome is extensive new templates for both Organic and Paid Social content aswell as pitch decks based on a new modular system.
🚀 Created new Brand Guidelines and Brand Hub. I have recently guided all teams through this with drop in sessions, educating individuals on how to best utilise the brand.🚀 Elevating the brand where possible with a new pictogram system, expansion of the much loved illustration library, refining the typography and colour palette.
🧪 Helping lead the development of a new performance marketing process, collaborating with the Growth team to craft engaging and relevant Paid Social ads, evolving through continuous ‘test and learn’ process. This setup enables rapid production, helping reach new customers more quickly, effectively and at a lower cost.

Midweight Brand Designer
November 2021 - December 2023👨💻 Led creative output for performance marketing in the UK, primarily supporting Paid Social and Display. Created ambitious campaigns from concept through to delivery, working alongside a talented team of motion designer and copywriters.
✉️ Led creative output for CRM, developing new templates for UK and international markets. This increased efficiency for the Creative and Growth teams, enabling faster delivery and more effective email design.
🌟 Responsible for rolling out recent brand identity, creating a system for immediate teams to access and download assets.
💞 Managed our employer brand, crafting bespoke identities for annual company conference, tech summit, wellbeing week, company-wide hackathon and other exciting initiatives.
🤝 Built lasting relationships across the organisation, effectively working cross-functionally to deliver projects for Product, Tech, Talent, Employee Experience, Government Relations and the executive team.
⛑ Helped build a safety feature as part of the company-wide hackathon in a cross-functional team. Oversaw brand identity and marketing efforts for the project. This initiative later received an award and is currently being integrated into the app.

Created all collateral and assisted in organising and smooth running of the "I Came By Train" sustainability event at The Gherkin, featuring prominent figures in transport, including Minister of State for Transport Huw Merriman.
Helped built working relationship between Brand & UX, being a key influence on how our identity can be best utilised in the product.
Supported OOH and DOOH campaigns, with experience rolling these out across performance channels.
Strong focus in project managing, being able to delegate the workload to our in-house team of motion designers, copywriters, developers, producers and the wider growth team, making sure these run on time and delivered within tight deadlines.
Strong focus on a ‘test and learn’ mentality, working with the growth team to provide different creative tests within campaigns, helping to lower the costs when bringing in new customers.
Mentored more Junior members of the team on emerging technologies at Trainline, sharing my experiences/best practices with these.

My role was to produce designs that got Second Home’s messages across with high visual impact - developing and completing execution of all graphical and content design for Second Home.

Responsibilities included assisting with marketing campaigns for corporate finance clients and also working as part of a team creating a brand identity for a health care start-up. I was thrilled that my design was chosen by the client and has now been successfully rolled out.
